This website and service are operated by Retool Repair (“we”, “us”).

2) What you’re buying (the service)
Retool RepairCheck is a paid, symptom-based guidance service. You submit tool details and symptoms. We email you:
• a ✅/⚠️/❌ decision
• a walk-away price (max spend cap)
• 3 user-safe checks (no disassembly)
• a shop copy/paste brief
• a confidence line (low/medium/high + why)
• a 14-day free re-check (one update) if you reply with new info
-
3) Delivery time (SLA)
We aim to deliver your RepairCheck within 24 hours of receiving a completed submission.
If you submit incomplete info, we may request follow-up details which can affect timing.
-
4) What we need from you
You agree to provide accurate information to the best of your ability, including:
• tool type/power type/brand (model if known)
• symptoms and when they occur
• what you have already tried
Optional photos/video can improve accuracy.
-
5) Refund guarantee (your promise, written properly)
If, based on the information provided, we cannot provide a clear next step, we will refund the RepairCheck fee.
Examples where a refund may apply:
• the details are too limited to produce a meaningful plan, and you cannot provide basic follow-up when asked
• the submission is not about a tool fault we can reasonably advise onRefunds are not provided simply because:
• you dislike the recommendation (e.g., we advise replacement)
• the tool later fails for a different reason not described in the submission
• you choose not to carry out any of the user-safe checks or follow-up requested
-
This guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
-
6) 14-day free re-check (one update)
If you reply within 14 days of receiving your RepairCheck with new information (e.g., results of the safe checks, clearer symptom details, photos/video), we will update your plan once at no extra charge.
-
7) Limitations and “confidence”
Because we do not physically inspect the tool, any decision is based on patterns and probabilities from symptoms. Your email includes a confidence line explaining how reliable the conclusion is given the information available.
-
We do not guarantee:
• that a repair will succeed
• that a shop will quote within your walk-away price
• that the fault is the only issue present
-
8) Safety
You must not use a tool that appears unsafe. Stop using the tool and seek professional help if there is:
• smoke or burning smell
• exposed wiring
• melted casing
• damaged or swollen battery packs
• liquid ingress
All checks we provide are intended to be user-safe, but you are responsible for your actions and safety.
-
9) Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss, damage, injury, or costs arising from:
• tool use, repair attempts, disassembly, or modifications
• reliance on information that is inaccurate or incomplete
• faults not disclosed or not observable from symptoms aloneNothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation).
-
10) Pricing and payment
Prices are shown at the point of purchase. Payment is processed by our payment provider(s). We do not store your full card details.
-
11) Changes to the service or these Terms
We may update the service and these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies at the time of purchase.12) Contact
